The main idea of the fairy tale is the adventure of Pinocchio. An example of a review of the book "The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Pinocchio"
The writing
The writer again refers to the "memory of childhood", this time recalling his passion for the book by S. Collodi "Pinocchio, or the Adventures of a wooden doll." S. Collodi (Carlo Loranzini, 1826-1890) wrote in 1883 a moralistic book about a wooden boy. In it, after long adventures and misadventures, the mischievous and lazy Pinocchio is corrected under the influence of a fairy with blue hair.
A. N. Tolstoy does not follow the source literally, but creates a new work based on it. Already in the preface, the author reports that in childhood he told the book he loved each time in different ways, inventing such adventures that were not in the book at all. The writer focuses on the new reader; it is important for him to instill in the Soviet child good feelings for the oppressed and hatred for the oppressors.
Talking about his idea to Yu. Olesha, A. N. Tolstoy emphasized that he would not write an instructive work, but an entertaining and cheerful recollection of what he read in childhood. Yu. Olesha wrote later that he wanted to evaluate this idea “as an idea, of course, crafty, since the author is still going to build his work on someone else’s basis, and at the same time as an original idea, charming, since borrowing will take the form of a search for someone else’s plot in memory, and from this the fact of borrowing will acquire the value of a genuine invention.
fairy tale"The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Pinocchio" turned out to be A. N. Tolstoy's great success and a completely original work. When creating it, the writer paid the main attention not to the didactic side, but to the connection with folk motives, to the humorous and satirical depiction of the characters.
The plot is based on the struggle of Pinocchio (Pinocchio - in Italian "doll") and his friends with Karabas-Barabas, Duremar, the fox Alice, the cat Basilio. At first glance, it seems that the struggle is for mastering the golden key. But the motive of mystery, traditional in children's literature, in the book of A. N. Tolstoy sounds in its own way. For Karabas-Barabas, Duremar, the fox Alice and the cat Basilio, the golden key is a symbol of wealth, power over the poor, over the “meek”, “stupid people”. For Pinocchio, Papa Carlo, the poodle Artemon, Piero and Malvina, the golden key is a symbol of freedom from oppression and the opportunity to help all the poor. The conflict between the "light and dark world" of the tale is inevitable and irreconcilable; the action in it unfolds dynamically; The author's sympathies are clearly expressed.
The characters of A. N. Tolstoy are outlined clearly and definitely, as in folk tales. They take their origins from folk stories, epic and dramatic. Pinocchio is in some ways close to the reckless Petrushka from the folk theater, and in some ways reminiscent of the desperate younger brother Ivanushka from Russian fairy tales. It is outlined with humorous strokes, given in combination of positive and negative. It costs nothing for a wooden boy to show his tongue to Papa Carlo, to hit a talking Cricket with a hammer, to sell the alphabet to buy a ticket to the theater.
Pinocchio had to go through many adventures from the first day of his birth, when his thoughts were “small, small, short, trifling, trifling”, until the moment when he understands: “you need to save your comrades - that’s all.”
Pinocchio's character is shown in constant development; the heroic element in the wooden boy is often seen through the outwardly comic. So, after a brave fight with Karabas, Malvina forces Pinocchio to write a dictation, but he immediately comes up with an excuse: “They didn’t take writing materials.” When it turned out that everything was ready for classes, Pinocchio wanted to jump out of the cave and run wherever his eyes looked. And only one consideration held him back: "it was impossible to abandon helpless comrades and a sick dog." Pinocchio enjoys the love of the guys because he is not only fabulously lucky, but also has truly human weaknesses and shortcomings.
The "Dark World", beginning with Karabas-Barabas and ending with a general sketch of the Land of Fools, is given satirically throughout the entire tale. The writer knows how to show vulnerable, funny traits in the characters of the “doctor of puppet sciences” Karabas, the seller of leeches Duremar, the fox Alice and the cat Basilio, the governor Fox, police dogs. The hostile world of the exploiters was exposed by A. N. Tolstoy, the legend of the omnipotence of the “lash in seven tails” was debunked, and the humanistic principle was victorious. Social concepts and phenomena are embodied by the writer in living images full of emotional power, which is why the beneficial effect on children of the fairy tale about the adventures of Pinocchio is still tangible.
For reader's diary. It allows you to structure information about the book you read, draw up a plan for retelling the content, and provides a basis for writing. It should be noted that when completing a school assignment, the title of the book should be indicated in full: A. N. Tolstoy: "The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Pinocchio" or: A. N. Pinocchio or Pinocchio?
At the heart of the book A.N. Tolstoy lies Carlo Collodi's tale "The Adventures of Pinocchio. The Story of a Wooden Doll". According to the plot of Collodi, everyone's favorite American cartoon was shot, and children often confuse these two works and the main characters - Pinocchio and Pinocchio. But A.N. Tolstoy took only the idea of a revived wooden doll, and then storylines diverge. Summary"Pinocchio" for the reader's diary contains information only from the Russian version.
One day, the carpenter Giuseppe found a talking log that began to scream when it was hewn. Giuseppe was frightened and gave it to the organ grinder Carlo, with whom he had been friends for a long time. Carlo lived in a small closet so poorly that even his hearth was not real, but painted on a piece of old canvas. The organ grinder carved a wooden doll with a very long nose out of logs. She came to life and became a boy, whom Carlo named Pinocchio. The wooden man played pranks, and the talking cricket advised him to take up his mind, obey Papa Carlo, and go to school. Pope Carlo, despite the pranks and pranks, fell in love with Pinocchio and decided to raise him as his own. He sold his warm jacket to buy his son an alphabet, made a jacket and a cap with a brush out of colored paper so that he could go to school.
Puppet theater and acquaintance with Karabas Barabas
Pinocchio, on the way to school, saw a poster for a Puppet Theater performance: "Girl with blue hair, or Thirty-three cuffs." The boy forgot the advice of the talking cricket and decided not to go to school. He sold his beautiful new picture book and used all the money he got to buy a ticket to the show. The basis of the plot was the cuffs that Harlequin very often gave to Pierrot. During the performance, the puppet artists recognized Pinocchio and a commotion began, as a result of which the performance was disrupted. The terrible and cruel Karabas Barabas, director of the theater, author and director of plays, owner of all the puppets playing on the stage, became very angry. He even wanted to burn the wooden boy for disturbing the order and disrupting the performance. But during the conversation, Pinocchio accidentally told about the closet under the stairs with a painted hearth, in which Papa Carlo lived. Unexpectedly, Karabas Barabas calmed down and even gave Pinocchio five gold coins with one condition - not to leave this closet.
Meeting with the fox Alice and the cat Basilio
On the way home, Pinocchio met the fox Alice and these crooks, having learned about the coins, suggested that the boy go to the Land of Fools. They said that if you bury coins in the Field of Miracles in the evening, then in the morning a huge money tree will grow out of them.
Pinocchio really wanted to get rich quick, and he agreed to go with them. On the way Pinocchio got lost and was left alone, but at night in the forest he was attacked by terrible robbers resembling a cat and a fox. He put the coins in his mouth so they wouldn't be taken away, and the robbers hung the boy upside down on a tree branch to drop the coins and left him.
Acquaintance with Malvina, a trip to the Land of Fools
In the morning he was found by Artemon, a poodle - Malvina, who escaped from the theater of Karabas Barabas. It turned out that he was abusive to his puppet actors. When Malvina, a girl with very good manners, met Pinocchio, she decided to raise him, which ended in punishment - Artemon locked him in a dark, scary closet with spiders.
Having escaped from the closet, the boy again met the cat Basilio and the fox Alice. He did not recognize the "robbers" who attacked him in the forest, and again believed them. Together they set out on their journey. When the crooks brought Pinocchio to the Land of Fools on the Field of Miracles, it turned out to be like a dump. But the cat and the fox convinced him to bury the money, and then set the police dogs on him, who pursued Pinocchio, caught him and threw him into the water.
Appearance of the golden key
The boy made of logs did not drown. He was found by the old turtle Tortila. She told the naive Pinocchio the truth about his "friends" Alice and Basilio. The turtle kept a golden key, which a long time ago was dropped into the water by an evil man with a long terrible beard. He shouted that the key could open the door to happiness and wealth. Tortila gave the key to Pinocchio.
On the way from the Land of Fools, Pinocchio met a frightened Pierrot, who also ran away from the cruel Karabas. Pinocchio and Malvina were very happy to see Pierrot. Leaving friends in Malvina's house, Pinocchio went to follow Karabas Barabas. He had to find out which door could be opened with the golden key. By chance, in a tavern Pinocchio overheard a conversation between Karabas Barabas and Duremar, a leech dealer. He learned the big secret of the golden key: the door that it opens is in Papa Carlo's closet behind the painted hearth.
Closet door, stairs journey and new theater
Karabas Barabas turned to with a complaint against Pinocchio. He accused the boy of causing the puppet artists to escape because of him, which led to the ruin of the theater. Fleeing from persecution, Pinocchio and his friends came to Papa Carlo's closet. They tore the canvas off the wall, found a door, opened it with a golden key and found an old staircase that led into the unknown. They descended the steps, slamming the door in front of Karabas Barabs and the police dogs. There Pinocchio again met the talking cricket and apologized to him. The stairs lead to the best theater in the world, with bright lights, loud and joyful music. In this theater, the heroes became the owners, Pinocchio began to play on stage with friends, and Papa Carlo - to sell tickets and play the hurdy-gurdy. All the artists from the theater of Karabas Barabas left him for a new theater, where good performances were staged on the stage, and no one beat anyone.
Karabas Barabas was left alone on the street, in a huge puddle.
Summary of "Pinocchio" for the reader's diary: character characteristics
Pinocchio is an animated wooden doll that Carlo made from logs. This is a curious, naive boy who does not understand the consequences of his actions. In the course of the story, Pinocchio grows up, learns to be responsible for his behavior, finds friends whom he tries to help.
Carlo is a poor organ grinder living in poverty, in a cramped closet with a painted hearth. He is very kind and forgives Pinocchio for all his pranks. He loves Pinocchio, like all parents of their children.
Karabas Barabas - theater director, professor of puppet sciences. The evil and cruel owner of the dolls, comes up with performances in which they have to beat each other, punishes them with a seven-tailed whip. He has a huge ugly beard. He wants to catch Pinocchio. Once upon a time, he had a golden key to the door, fortunately, but he did not know where the door was, and lost the key. Now, having learned where the closet is, he wants to find it.
Malvina is a very beautiful doll with blue hair. She ran away from the theater of Karabas Barabas because he mistreated her, and lives in the forest, in a small house with the poodle Artemon. Malvina is sure that everyone should have good manners, and brings up the boys she is friends with, teaches them to behave, read and write. She loves to listen to the poems that Pierrot dedicates to her. Pinocchio and Malvina often quarrel over his bad behavior.
Artemon is Malvina's poodle, with whom she escaped from Karabas Barabas. Protects her, helps raise the boys.
Pierrot is a sad puppet theater artist, who always gets cuffed on the back of the head by Arlekino according to the scripts of Karabas Barabas. He is in love with Malvina, writes poetry to her, misses her. He eventually goes looking for her and, with the help of Pinocchio, finds her. Piero agrees to learn good manners, literacy - anything, just to be with her.
Alice the fox and Basilio the cat are impoverished crooks. Basilio often pretends to be blind in order to deceive passers-by. They are trying to take five gold coins from Pinocchio that Karabas Barabas gave him. First, Alice and Basilio try to lure them out by promising to grow a Money Tree in the Field of Wonders in the Land of Fools. Then, pretending to be robbers, they want to take the coins by force. As a result, they manage to steal the coins buried in the Field of Miracles. After the Country of Fools, they help Karabas Barabas to catch Pinocchio.
Tortila is a wise old turtle. She saves Pinocchio from the water, teaches to distinguish bad people from good ones, gives a golden key.
The talking cricket lives in Papa Carlo's closet behind the painted hearth. Gives Pinocchio useful advice at the beginning of the story.

Brief retelling (413 words) . Once the merry fellow Giuseppe discovered an unusual talkative log that frightened him in earnest. Then he decided to give a strange find to his friend Carlo. The hero lived poorly and modestly: the only decoration of the closet was only a painted hearth. The man thought for a long time what to do with the donated log and, finally, it dawned on him: he cut out a long-nosed doll and gave him the name Pinocchio. The hero doted on his son. But the child was naughty, so when the old cricket recommended him to study, he drove the adviser away. Fate punished the hero: he almost became dinner for a big rat. Then, having sold his only jacket, Carlo bought the boy an alphabet and sent him to school to save the little one from troubles. However, along the way, the little hero stumbles upon a theater, so he sells a primer to buy a coveted ticket. Seeing Pinocchio, the puppets could not play the performance to the end. The owner of the theater, Karabas Barabas, did not like this very much, and he decided to punish all his workers. Finding himself in front of a formidable villain, Pinocchio let slip about Papa Carlo and his painted hearth, but the owner of the theater did not swear at him, but simply gave him five coins. When the wooden boy was walking home, on his way he met the fox Alice and the cat Basilio, who decided to rob the doll. They took him to a tavern, forced him to pay for the entire meal, and then assured him that these coins should be buried in the country of Fools so that a large money tree would then grow. At night, the cat and the fox attacked Pinocchio and hung him on a tree. He was rescued by the poodle Artemon, who took him to the runaway actors from the theater of Karabas Barabas. He met Malvina. A doll with blue hair began to raise a new acquaintance: she gave him castor oil, forced him to study and behave well. The girl tried to teach him good manners, but the student behaved badly. For this, the doll put him in a closet. But Pinocchio escaped and again went on a journey. And in vain, because he again ran into the fox Alice and the cat Basilio, who this time threw the little hero into the river. It is there that the traveler meets the kind turtle Tortilla. She not only told Pinocchio about real friends, but also gave him a golden key. Only later did the boy find out (he was knocked down by a hare who brought Piero, who overheard the secret of the secret door from Barabas), that it was this key that opens the mysterious door behind the painted hearth in Papa Carlo's closet. The heroes run to Malvina, but Karabas and the police lie in wait there. A fight for the key ensues. The children are saved by Carlo. Together they open the door, and behind it was a large theater, in which all the heroes of this wonderful story began to play. Only Karabas Barabas "left with a nose."
Review (149 words) . The tale of Pinocchio teaches that good always wins if people stand up for it all together. You should never despair, if true friends are near you, they cannot be betrayed. The author also tries to convey to readers the main idea that cunning, evil and greedy people can never be comrades. I have
I am sure that Pinocchio is a favorite hero of many, because at the very beginning he appears to us as unintelligent, sometimes stupid, but after all the adventures he changes into better side. My opinion of him changed significantly in the finale, when he finally took responsibility for the future of his family and friends.
My impression of the book is good, because it teaches a person how to behave correctly in society, and also helps to determine true values in life. I want to re-read this fairy tale again and again, and also advise everyone to read it in order to once again understand and understand the simple truths that Aleksey Nikolayevich Tolstoy wants to convey to us.

Illustrations and drawings for the fairy tale "The Golden Key"
To the question what thoughts of the author can be read between the lines in the work of Pinocchio, given by the author Maria Petrova the best answer is The future belongs to cyborgs!))
In 1936, the famous Russian writer A. N. Tolstoy wrote his fairy tale about a wooden man "The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Pinocchio", which became a favorite work of children. In his preface to the tale, he says that he was based on the Italian fairy tale "Pinocchio or the Adventures of a Wooden Doll". Pinocchio with Italian translates as a wooden doll. The image of this cheerful and funny little man with a long nose was invented by the Italian writer C. Collodi. Tolstoy did not just retell the Italian fairy tale, he came up with various adventures for Pinocchio and his friends. The written story takes place in an Italian city. This can be judged by the names of the heroes - Carlo, Piero, Giuseppe, as well as by the monetary unit used - the gulden.
The plot of this fairy tale is based on the struggle of Pinocchio and his friends with Karabas Barabas, Duremar, the cat Basilio and the fox Alice - the struggle between good and evil, for mastery of the golden key. This key for Karabas Barabas is a symbol of wealth and power over the poor. For Pinocchio, Pope Carlo, Artemon, Piero and Malvina, the golden key is a symbol of freedom. They need a theater to put on performances.
Another story about friendship. Pinocchio has many friends: this is Malvina, who is trying to instill good manners in him, and Piero, who is in love with a girl, with blue hair, and other heroes. When Pinocchio does not find his friends in the cave, he begins to understand how important they are to him and goes to their rescue. Pinocchio experienced many adventures from the very first day of his birth, when his thoughts were "small, small, short, trifling, trifling", until the moment when he realized: "We must save our comrades - that's all." He causes our admiration, but this does not prevent us from laughing at his funny antics. This wooden long-nosed boy is a good comrade and faithful friend, having his own weaknesses and shortcomings.
Karabas Barabas, the seller of leeches Duremar, the fox Alice, the cat Basilio personify evil forces in the work. Tolstoy makes fun of them throughout the tale. We laugh with him, remembering, for example, how the ferocious Karabas Barabas, putting his beard in his pocket, sneezes non-stop, which is why everything in the kitchen rattles and sways.
The plot of the story develops rapidly. Sometimes you don’t even know which of the heroes you need to sympathize with, and which one should be considered a villain. Surprisingly, even negative characters cause our sympathy. Perhaps that is why the whole fairy tale - from beginning to end - is read in one breath, fun and easy.
