Planet Earth is an exciting journey.
Planet Earth. Encyclopedia with Chevostik.
Wonderful books for preschoolers; these encyclopedias are very good because the text here is whole, it is coherent narrative, not a list of short articles-notes. Therefore, it is easy to read, children perceive the story as an entertaining adventure that gives a lot of knowledge - very imperceptibly and unobtrusively. For younger children, there is more than enough information here; after reading the book, older children have questions - they want to know more about how and why, and then they come to the rescue school textbooks and big encyclopedias. But - arouse interest in the child by reading encyclopedic notes big books, impossible; for this you need encyclopedias with Chevostik! They're laying initial interest in learning.
The books in the series are colorful, with color illustrations, drawings explain the text, reveal many questions. Published excellently - Hard cover, thick white paper inside. A good gift for children ages 3-4.
The beginning of the journey.
This book is about planet Earth. The first knowledge of geography and biology; preparation for the subject The world at school.
How is our planet? Why do trees grow at the foot of mountains, and glaciers lie at the tops? Why are there waves and how does the wind appear? Why doesn't the rivers run out of water and the seas don't overflow? What is the Sun under our feet? Which mountain is the highest? Why transport an iceberg? And much more!
To find answers to these and many other questions, Chevostik and Uncle Kuzya set out on a journey again - this time on a magical summer swimmer.
Let's know the world.
The heroes will fly around our beautiful planet, rise to the tops of mountains and descend into the depths of the oceans, examine close up the oceans, lakes and rivers, continents and islands, volcanoes and geysers. During the trip, Uncle Kuzya will tell about the most important natural phenomena and explain why they occur.. Approximately the way any parent should tell everything to a curious child; but parents do not always have enough words and knowledge, and they come to the rescue good books.
World map.
Chevostik is main character famous audio project. There are already 46 performances in the series "Audio Encyclopedia with Chevostik". The best of them are published in book format by Mann, Ivanov and Ferber.
The book is built in the form of dialogues between Chevostik and his uncle Kuzey. This is how communication between a child and an adult usually occurs.
Chevostik's questions keep pouring in, and they're all so interesting! Always on point - anticipate your little reader's questions. Chevostik constantly interrupts his uncle, because while he was explaining something to him, the baby had already matured new questions. We read and learn about the seas and oceans, continents (there are maps in the book), atmosphere, air. It also tells about how the seasons change (it will be easier for a baby to figure it out, it is difficult for many children to remember the seasons, everything is explained simply and clearly here), about the change of day and night, the water cycle in nature. Of course, there is a story about volcanoes and geysers (most kids are especially interested in volcanoes). All these topics are covered in the textbooks on the world around grades 1-4; The book does a great job on the topic.
It's too late for a 7-year-old to buy such books, should start earlier, the best thing - about 4-5 years. You can look at pictures and read something from a book from the age of three. Books in the series are designed specifically for preschoolers: this.
The photo below shows some pages of the book.

You will understand why the sky is blue on a clear day and red at sunset; see how atmospheric vortices and destructive tsunami waves are formed; find out why on our planet day alternates with night and the seasons succeed each other.

Hello, Dear friends, dear readers of the blog !
Today I want to tell you about another wonderful book with whom we have recently met.
This book perfectly complemented, as it makes it possible to convey fundamental information about our planet and everything that happens to it in a very detailed and accessible way to the child.
"Planet Earth"
About the book:"Planet Earth" is a book from the series of "Children's Encyclopedias with Chevostik" - the most popular audio encyclopedias about Chevostik, only in book format.
What age is the book for?
Book for little whys who are interested in the structure of our planet. What is the ocean and why are there waves on the sea? Why do trees grow, what is a mountain and why does the river never run out of water?
Uncle Kuzya will answer all these questions, will talk about the most important natural phenomena and most importantly: about the causes of their occurrence.
The book says it's for for preschoolers and toddlers school age but I think it's perfect for kids from 3 years. In any case, it is just right for us now.
Together - we "close" almost all why questions π
Who is Chevostik?
I have already heard a lot of enthusiastic reviews about Chevostik for a long time, but we were able to get to know him only now, thanks to the book "Planet Earth".
Chevostik lives on the bookshelf in the library of Uncle Kuzi. He is small, red-haired and very inquisitive why, which is very similar to any child π Probably, that's why the kids like him so much π
Children's encyclopedias with Chevostik
With Chevostik there is a whole book series, among which "Planet Earth" - came out the latest:
- "Fascinating Physics"
- "Fun Chemistry"
- "How Man Works"
- "If you want to be healthy"
- "Planet Earth"
If all other books are at least half as interesting as Planet Earth, then a series of these children's encyclopedias It really is a godsend for parents.
"Planet Earth" - an exciting journey
The book is one big journey of Chevostik and Uncle Kuzi on a magical flying plane (all-terrain vehicle, all-terrain vehicle and all-terrain vehicle π) around our planet earth.
After reading the book, the child will easily navigate these concepts. how:
- Continents and oceans
- What is the Earth's atmosphere?
- Parallels and meridians
- Mountains and lakes
- Seas and oceans
- wind and waves
- icebergs
- How is our planet
- Volcanoes and geysers
What did you like the most about the book?
- First of all, I really liked simplicity of presentation. The book is built in the form of a dialogue between Chevostik and Uncle Kuzey, who, traveling around our planet, learn more and more about it. Maybe because the child associates himself with Chevostik, who also asks adults a lot of questions, or simply because the book is written in an accessible language for the baby - but we have already fallen in love with Chevostik π
The fact is that we have two atlases on our shelf, I kept trying with Gleb to start studying them and start studying geography, but they did not interest the child at all - they could not even read 4 pages. And with Chevostik - We read, read and read again!
- Secondly, I liked smooth transition between subjects. Chevostik first learns about the globe, then about the continents, then about the oceans and seas - and all this in one chapter, very accessible and logical. We only read one chapter and learned so much at once!
- Third, very liked Chevostik himself π
- Fourthly, they simply bewitched illustrations!
Favorite quotes
In the book "Planet Earth" we liked absolutely everything that we had already read, but most of all Gleb was impressed by atmosphere information.
We have not previously touched on this topic and the presence of a whole ocean of air around us It turned out to be just a discovery π Here is how interesting the concept of atmosphere is described in the book:
βIn addition to the five oceans filled with water, there is a sixth one filled with air. It's called the atmosphere. The air ocean surrounds the entire Earth, thanks to it, life exists on our planet. All terrestrial living beings - animals, plants and you and me - are located where there is the most air - on the surface of the Earth. She is the bottom of the air ocean.Β»
It's great, isn't it?
I also really liked how the book explains such a complex concept as water cycle in nature. I probably wouldn't have been able to explain it myself π
Like this magic book introduces children to our beautiful and full of mysteries planet. I hope you liked the review π
Do you already know Chevostik?
With love,
Marina Kruchinskaya
