Underground nuclear research laboratory, Abkhazia. Underground secret research laboratory, ussr Abandoned underground laboratory
In Soviet times, science developed at an incredible pace. One discovery was replaced by another, no less significant. And human craving and greed for knowledge only grew along with it. This is how countless research institutes appeared in our country - Scientific Research Institutes. Some of them are still functioning today, some have long been wiped off the face of the earth, and some have been left to fend for themselves along with all the equipment.
Today we will not talk about the research institute itself, since it clearly does not belong to the number of abandoned ones, but about the once functioning laboratory under this research institute. And not just under it, but at a depth of 45 meters!
Depth: - 45 meters
Research Type: Nuclear Physics
The place itself is unique in itself, since in our time such deep laboratories can be counted on the fingers. Unlike the research institutes themselves, there are really very few of them.
Three people of different builds once more cast a disdainful look at the small building in front of them.
- Are you sure you're here?
- That's just the point, I'm not sure! I just assumed she was here. Do you know how many scientific research institutes are in Moscow?!
Research institutes in Moscow are really unmeasured, but the choice fell on this one. The three stood close to each other and looked through the window at the main hall. Promisingly: every now and then a middle-aged man appeared in front of the front door, passed by, dissolved somewhere in the corridor. The main thing, we thought, was to get on the stairs. And without being noticed. The rest will work out by itself.
We decided to wait until the people in the building lay down to sleep. Midnight. The hour of the night. Two o'clock at night. Three...
At three o'clock in the morning music began to play in the building of the Institute.
- Are they crazy?
Why are these scientists still awake?
At four in the morning everything settled down, the lights went out. It was decided to act.
And now three are already climbing onto the roof, through which it was planned to penetrate inside. A couple of deft moves and they're already inside the building. It remains only to go down to the basement.
In the basement of the building there is a trunk (a tunnel going vertically down to a depth of about 45 meters, where the laboratory block is located).
It all looks like this:
The construction was carried out by the metro construction in the 45s. First, the trunk itself was dug, after which the laboratory block was dug and reinforced with tubing.
We just have to go down in due time.
As you descend, you feel that the laboratory is really abandoned. New, freshly painted flights of stairs are replaced by old rusty ones. The walls are cracking, traces of groundwater are visible.
On the left side, behind the grid - the elevator shaft. It would be much nicer and more convenient to go down to the laboratory by elevator, but we decided not to unnerve the people from above. Moreover, when our small company had almost reached the bottom of the trunk, muffled steps and voices could be heard from above.
On the left is a staircase, on the right are the doors of that same elevator. Behind him are wooden double doors, behind which is the laboratory block itself.
And here he is:
Dressing room.
View from the dressing room back towards the wooden doors:
We leave the waiting room in the main room:
Half of the premises here are occupied by electrical equipment (in particular, switchboards, lighting) and drainage and pumping systems for pumping groundwater, which are the eternal problem of such structures.
The other half, as it may seem at first glance, is occupied by an absolutely useless frame made of metal beams welded together.
In fact, this design carries a certain meaning.
I answer the question: "So what did Soviet scientists do at a depth of 45 meters underground?" - Nuclear physics of cosmic rays. Specifically, the study of their spectrum.
To be honest, it’s hard for me, as a person far from physics, to imagine how a beam of cosmic energy passes through a building, then through a 45-meter thickness of rock and, reaching the target, breaks up into something there, but apparently this really happened .
Metal beams here serve as "shelves" for briquettes of lead and iron, passing through which the radiation beam is transformed into something there.
All this ingenious design, scientists call the "Ionization Calorimeter"
Scheme of an ionization calorimeter in combination with nuclear photographic emulsions:
1 - a target in which the interaction of a cosmic particle with nuclei occurs, leading to the appearance of high-energy g-quanta.
2 - lead layers, in which g-radiation generates electron-photon cascades.
3 - photographic emulsions recording tracks of charged particles.
4 - layers of iron, decelerating charged particles.
5 - pulsed ionization chambers.
You can learn more about high-energy physics on thematic resources, and we will continue our walk.
If you do not peer, it does not catch your eye how many metal briquettes are in the stock of the laboratory. But let's take a closer look - they are everywhere.
Red, in front of the calorimeter - this is not a tile. Left is the same. Briquettes in several layers also lie on the shelves of the calorimeter. There are really a LOT of them.
Behind the wall of the main room is a continuation of the block, a small room where ventilation is provided from the surface, and also in which there was a computer.
Since the times of the USSR, Abkhazia has been not only a resort with beautiful mountain landscapes, endless beaches and classic architectural buildings, but also a base for military research institutes, including for the needs of nuclear research. One of these objects will be discussed. Presumably in the mid-80s, on the basis of the Sukhum Institute of Physics and Technology on the territory belonging to a secret subdivision called "object A", the construction of a research complex began. In the end, it was never finally completed, suffering from the consequences of the Abkhazian crisis that arose after the war. Funding was withdrawn and the complex, which was in the final stages of construction, was abandoned.
The object is an unfinished building of the SPTI and an underground laboratory, consisting of 2 round tunnel blocks inside the mountain. The construction of tunnels was carried out by the metro construction. The tunnels were buried in such a way as to provide an optimal depth to avoid the penetration of natural radiation from the surface. Inside it was supposed to place equipment for research.
They say that a similar laboratory on the territory of the "object G" subdivision, unlike its "brother", was commissioned and operates to this day, conducting tests commissioned by Russia, but it is not possible to verify this - the perimeter is quite well guarded.
The legendary object meets us with a 6-storey "skeleton" of the unfinished building of the institute.
The building was built only in constructions.
View of the gorge from the top floor. The sky in Abkhazia is mesmerizing. Everything is shrouded in stars, the light from the street is minimal.
One of the two entrances to the laboratory. Both portals are located on the ground floor of the building. The laboratory also has a "back door", which turned out to be sewn up, but more on that later.
From the inside, the portal is overgrown with picturesque climbing vines.
The first thing that catches your eye is the tiling. Unusual way finishes for such structures.
Both tunnels are the same in size and length. From above, the remains of a crane - beams have been preserved. Most likely, the wiring and equipment were installed, but everything disappeared under the onslaught of marauders.
Between themselves, the tunnels are connected side by side with a 45-degree break. I dare to suggest that such a system was conceived to prevent the consequences if a serious accident occurs in one part of the laboratory.
Partitions were erected at the end of one of the tunnels.
This is what the laboratory would have looked like if it had been completed.
As I wrote above, a "back door" was provided from the laboratory through a system of side workings. At the very end, the exit is sealed with a concrete slab.
And all the walls are teeming with many nasty insects such as centipedes and scorpions. Having made this shot, I found one of these representatives 10 cm from my head, so I hurried to retreat from this place. Terribly afraid of these "creatures".
There is nothing more to see in the tunnels, but being here is very atmospheric. The empty spaces of the laboratory would have served as a great backdrop for a movie.
The beach is very close by. Such are the Abkhazian objects :)
A summer cafe closed for the winter and a star-starry sky.
At a very long exposure (about 10 minutes).
A very busy day ahead of you to visit most places than we saw during the whole trip. To be continued...
Object Zone-51
Area 51 is widely known in the world, which went down in history as the place where an alien crashed spaceship/UFO/. The event that took place in 1947 near Roswell immediately fell into the hands of the American intelligence services, and was supervised at the highest level of government.
But the time for disinformation and rumors has not yet come, the emergence of a story from half-truths and concealment came a little later. In the meantime, the event with the fall of the UFO led American intelligence officers into a slight confusion, no one knew what to do with it, and how to do it ....
Michael Salla, Ph.D., is a well-known political scientist and analyst in America, in addition, for many years he has been studying the activities of alien intelligence on Earth. And such activity, according to Dr. Sall, exists.
Michael Salla is considered the organizer of a new field of science - exopolitics, within which the study and analysis of actions takes place, which keeps in touch with alien representatives. For more than 30 years, the analyst has been working with declassified archives of special services, and carefully studies every case of contact of earthlings with aliens that has come to him.
What is the Area-51 object hiding.
The payoff of earthlings was also serious, in exchange for extraterrestrial technologies, the aliens received permission, and assistance to aliens in conducting experiments with humans. For this purpose, the C4 laboratory was built. This is a fenced and heavily guarded area, underground tunnel from where - according to the doctor - extend to Los Alamos. It conducted experiments with human material - work with genes, crossing a person with others alien species, conducting selection of the species Homo sapiens.
On the first minus three floors of the laboratory-anthill, there were services ensuring the secrecy of the existence of the project - and it is possible that they were also engaged in the search and supply of people for experiments. Premises for earthlings participating in the work of the laboratory. - And all this adheres to.
On the next three floors of the C4 underground complex, the laboratories themselves are located, where scientists aliens and experimented with people. It was on these floors that alien scientists, together with earthlings, worked on the human genome. It is possible that it was from these floors of the laboratory that the world saw the deadly viruses of the second half of the past century. The fifth level was completely reserved for premises for aliens.
On the minus sixth floor of the "C4" laboratory, aliens were experimenting in improving the human body. Here they tried to bring out a new kind of person with quick reactions, a strong skeleton. They tried to teach a person to master telekinesis, as well as the ability to work in aggressive environments. What came out as a result of the experiments often settled on the floor below. But some, more successful specimens, where they continued to adapt to our planet.
And minus the seventh floor of the secret laboratory "C4", a complex where aliens worked with the human genome, crossing it with other species, was a kind of repository. Here, under conditions of long-term storage, the "results" of unsuccessful experiments of crossing a person with other biological species were collected. As well as failed samples of experiments on changing the genome.
Of course, information about such laboratories does not lie in, and no one will officially confirm what is happening in them. All information about secret laboratories is collected bit by bit, over many years. After all, on secret objects they do not arrange excursions, and often, even the very existence of such objects is not displayed in documents.
Where do you think Bigfoot came from? also known as Bigfoot, is it not from similar laboratories .... whether people of the future grow up in these underground laboratory complexes ....
