Pobednenskaya Rural Library
June 22 marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the most terrible and bloody war in the history of mankind - the Great Patriotic War. On this day, Russia celebrates the Day of Memory and Sorrow. This is one of the saddest and most tragic dates in the history of our country. The head of the Pobednensky Library, Tatyana Borisovna Kareeva, held an hour of remembrance “We will not forget that fateful date”, which was attended by students of the Pobednensky school attending a summer school camp. The children heard a story about the first minutes of the war, about heroic defenders Brest Fortress, about children, by the will of fate, who got to the front. The children looked with interest at the exhibits of the museum room of the Pobednensky Library, reminiscent of that terrible time, and listened with excitement to excerpts from A. Gotovchikov’s book “One Potato, Two Potatoes” about children of the war years and unimagined stories of those whose childhood fell on the years of the Great Patriotic War. We again remembered those who saved our Fatherland from destruction, brought freedom to the peoples of the world, and defended our father's house. I would like to believe that the grain of memory dropped today in children's memory will give good shoots. The event was attended by 17 people.
June 22, 1941 - one of the most mournful dates in the history of Russia - the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. This day reminds us of all those who died in this war. We mourn those who took the first blow of the offensive Nazi Germany, about those who fought on the fronts and partisans in detachments, about those who heroically worked in the rear and those who were driven to Germany and tortured to death in concentration camps - all who saw and realized the horrors of fascism.
To this significant date The Central Regional Library has prepared a book exhibition - a memory of "That very first day of the war ...".
At the exhibition, readers are offered books, magazine and newspaper articles about the beginning of the war, about the heroism and self-sacrifice of Soviet soldiers, the courage and steadfastness of ordinary Soviet citizens, about children who helped the front with their work and courage, as well as diaries and memoirs of war veterans, illustrated materials , fiction, front-line letters.
Already 72 years have passed since the war died down, the best books of our writers from all sides covered this tragedy, the bitterness of defeat and joy great victory May 1945.

From the librarian's story, the children learned about how the Great Patriotic War began. Like 76 years ago on June 22, 1941, the pre-dawn silence was suddenly broken by explosions of roaring shells. Then no one knew that it would go down in the history of mankind as the most bloody. No one guessed that the Soviet people would have to go through inhuman trials, go through and win. Rid the world of fascism, showing everyone that the spirit of a Red Army soldier cannot be broken by the invaders. No one could have imagined that the names of the hero cities would become known to the whole world, that Stalingrad would become a symbol of the resilience of our people, Leningrad - a symbol of courage, Brest Fortress - a symbol of courage. In 1942 (from an entry in the award list), as part of the 124th fighter regiment, he patrolled the sky over Leningrad. In air battles, he proved himself to be a bold, determined fighter pilot. He correctly assessed the air situation and covered the advancing ground troops of the Leningrad Front on his MIG. In one of air battles five MIGs covered the actions of our troops, at an altitude of 7000 meters they met 2 ME-109s.
