IT at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of ChVUT
Many applicants who are interested in IT enter the Faculty of Electrical Engineering ChVUT for the program "Open Informatics". After the general first course of study, students choose a specific specialty: "Informatics and computer science”, “Internet of things”, “Software engineering”, “Computer games and graphics”.

1 round consists of 4 independent parts.
1) Visual exam of 3 tasks:
- a realistic pencil drawing of a still life, composed of the main geometric shapes, A2 format;
- abstract composition of given geometric shapes, color sketch in perspective, A3 format
– perspective image (10 points). Based on the given plan, create a perspective drawing of a 3D object in perspective standing man., A3 format
2) Test of spatial thinking (10 points) - an exam aimed at working with rectangular projections and stereometry
3) General knowledge test (10 points) - includes questions related to architecture, landscape architecture and design.
4) Test General prerequisites for learning OSP SCIO (15 points). Overall result test will be converted into points. You need to get at least 1 point for this part.
The Commission will set a minimum score for acceptance without an oral interview and a minimum score required to advance to the second round.
Round 2 - oral interview
The oral part of the exam will test the applicant's interest in the specialty and general knowledge in the specialty (architecture, knowledge in the field of culture) - the level of knowledge, the ability to argue and communicate will be assessed.
Applicants submit a maximum of 15 author's homework to the commission or school work. Format maximum A1. Works in the field of fine arts, architecture, landscape architecture or design.
Statistics: out of 470 applicants, 355 are accepted.
B1 in January, B2 in June
For the exam in January, a foreign applicant must bring at least a certificate of knowledge of the Czech language at level B1, in which case in June it will be necessary to bring a certificate of knowledge of the Czech language at level B2. Studying at the transport faculty of the ChVUT is organized in such a way that all students are admitted to the undergraduate program for the general curriculum "Technique and technology in transport and transport communications", and for a specific specialty they are enrolled in the 2nd year (before the start of the 4th semester). During training in the 3rd semester, you need to choose one of the proposed projects of bachelor's work, and, accordingly, the specialty. Assigning a specific project to a student is based on a competition (performance, number of credits received).

The exception is the specialty "Professional Pilot": entry exams for this specialty consist of written test in mathematics, a written English test and an oral interview. At the interview, the commission evaluates the applicant's predisposition to flight practice (you need to bring a Medical Certificate Class 1 and an honest statement about awareness of the need to pay for flight practice).
Theoretical training within the framework of the bachelor's degree program "Professional Pilot" is free. Practical training will cost approximately CZK 950,000 (in total for all three years of study).
